I try to look at dating as something fun to do - the possibilities are exciting and meeting nice people is really a lot of fun.
So a quick bit about me...
While I enjoy going out, I probably do lean a little more towards being a homebody. Simple comforts, quiet joys. I care very much for my family and friends. I love feeding said family and friends...dinner parties and games nights are favourites.
When I do go out, I like doing things a little out of the norm...ballet, symphony, stand-up comedy, museums. That being said, a nice dinner or a couple of pints at the pub with friends are a must every so often. I really enjoy going to movies...preferably the mainstream stuff. My favourite movies this year were Captain America, Limitless, Jane Eyre, Paul, X-Men:First-Class.
I like traveling. I'm no where near as well traveled as some but probably better traveled than most? It's a work in progress. The coolest travel related things things I've done this year are a couple of weeks spent in Australia and Climbing Mt Kinabalu in Borneo. Oh...and visiting the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in DC. I'm a bit of a geek. You have fair warning.
Scuba diving is probably my biggest "thing" right now. I'm a certified rescue diver and I'd like to make divemaster by the fall of 2012 (work/school permitting).
I like to learn and try new things in ALL aspects of my life so someone who's open to exploration and experimentation would be amazing. Open, straightforward communication is a must.
I'd like to start off with a couple of messages before considering a meeting and let things progress as we feel comfortable from there. I'm not necessarily looking for a capital-R-elationship but am definitely open to one developing.
Enough about me...let's talk about you...
I like people who can participate in an interesting conversation. Definitely bonus points if you have a nice smile. Some curiosity or adventurousness is a must.
Oh, and if you're looking for a gym bunny or your first question is going to be about my race, we probably won't hit it off.
